Asthma, allergies and vacuuming

Now, at the beginning of the 21st century, one in four people in Europe is every sixth form and suffer from allergic asthma.

Allergies (allergic rhinitis, bronchitis, eczema, conjunctivitis) usually have a common trigger of the person to contact with allergens (house dust mite droppings, pollen, mold).

Who (what) is the culprit?

Of course, the overall pollution of the environment is the first reason (allergies are considered diseases of civilization andpollution goes hand in hand with the development of civilization), but can also affect our lifestyle.

Nowadys, people spend 80% or more of their time (their apartment, office, restaurant, pipe). For us the body (in terms of allergies) are more dangerous smaller particles (viruses, scigarettes smoke, dust mite droppings) that circulate in the air and are inhaled (and in these closed areas such as apartment / office / tube of their expiration and other people inhale them and vice versa).
Ethe average temperature in our buildings has increased in the last 30 years by 4-5 degrees centigrade, and offers excellent living conditions for mites or bacteria.

Wet or dry vacuum cleaner?

In 1990, the producers came up with cleaning floors wet with the idea of winning the battle with the vacuum cleaner manufacturers to persuade people aspire to dry is not so much to catch microscopic particles cause allergies and the piston water .
L 'seemed logical for people. The vacuum sucks wet dust and water capture and separates. But experimets have shown that the 'truth is out there "and what works for large particles is not for children. Simply put, the allergens in the air circulating in the same amount both before and after wet vacuuming.

So tell me - wet or dry!

I - really - are not devalue the ability of the cleaner,I only said that the filtering of water is sufficient if it is the only vacuum cleaner filter. If you have a vacuum cleaner with HEPA filters as an extra, you probably have a good job and you do not need to change it to something else.

I'm allergic, so what should I buy a vacuum cleaner?

In my opinion, the one or more layers of Gore-Tex HEPA filter - either dry or wet.
Both (Gore-Tex and HEPAs multiples) are capable of capturing 99.99%loose dust and allergens.

To clean the pot and you need to vacuum 3-4 times a week (or 30-40 times if you have small children, say 2-5 years - I'm kidding, of course), not just the carpets and floors, but the beds, bedding and furniture.
It is also recommended to get rid of heavy, old curtains, blinds and Grand-Ma teddy bears and other plush toys.
The buildings must not be overheated andover-humidified

Standard flat internal temperature should not exceed 21 degrees during the day and 19 nights is enough to Celsiuses.

The average humidity should not exceed 50% and it is recommended that the area of at least 2 times a day, morning and night air (take another sweater or a glass of whiskey - or both - and wide-open windows for at least 15 minutes ).

If you have an allergic person in your family you should seriously consider the opportunitythe purchase of an air cleaner (not the humidifier, the only moistens the air without cleaning).
Their performance and low noise level are much more effective than vacuum.
